Ingleside Sand Sheet Research

Join us at the South Texas Botanical Garden Education building at 7 PM for our March meeting, where Michael Orgill and Bria Marty will talk about their research on the Ingleside Sand Sheet and its wildlife.

Hoekje Scholarship Award Recipients

Join us in Room 127 at the Harte Research Institute on the Texas A&M University Corpus Christi campus to hear from our scholarship award recipient. Each recipient will tell us about the research they conduct as a graduate or undergraduate student at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi or Kingsville.

March 14 - Choke Canyon

Liam Wolff leads a bird walk at Choke Canyon State Park. Meet at 7:30 AM at the 75-acre lake in the Calliham Unit. We will walk trails near the lake and around the park before moving to the South Shore Unit to finish the morning.


April Weekends (except Easter Sunday) - Blucher Bird Walks

Find all the migrating songbirds you are looking for at Blucher Park each Saturday and Sunday in April except Easter Sunday. Meet on the Carrizo St. side of the park at 8:00 AM


May 16 - Chaparral Wildlife Management Area

Chaparral is a TPWD Wildlife Management Area 25 miles north of Encinal in Dimmit County. This beautiful location is quintessential south Texas brush country where special birds such as Black-throated Sparrow, Verdin, Cactus Wren, Audubon’s Oriole, and Painted Bunting can be found.
