Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend is one of the richest birding areas in the country!

Located in the middle of the continent along the central flyway, the Coastal Bend gets birds from both the eastern and western halves of North America, particularly during spring and fall migration.

In addition, one can find south Texas specialties and the birds of Mexico and the tropics whose range extends north into the Coastal Bend.

The Coastal Bend offers a variety of habitats, from beaches and marshes to woodlands, chaparral, and grasslands which support this diversity.
