Held-Moran Nature Sanctuary
The property for this Sanctuary was donated to the Audubon Outdoor Club in 1990 by several prominent Corpus Christi residents, notably Dr. Beverly Held and Dr. Patrick Moran.
The ninety acres encompass Live Oak habitat and include various seasonal ponds. Surrounded by private property, this little slice of paradise provides critical habitat for a variety of migratory birds and resident wildlife.
Currently, the Audubon Outdoor Club is working to restore this property to a more natural state by removing invasive Brazilian Pepper Tree and other invasive plants.
